The theme map is a major feature of the current textbook,that is,before the beginning of each chapter of the textbook,there is a picture.This picture is a picture related to the content of this chapter designed by the textbook designer in the process of compiling,and each picture is equipped with a paragraph of introduction text above and explained.Nowadays,in the compilation of textbooks,the collocation of theme map not only makes textbooks colorful,but also becomes a major innovation of textbooks.Based on this,we should pay attention to the use of theme map in junior high school mathematics teaching,and give full play to its application.How to use theme map for teaching is the direction of this paper.In this paper,the literature research method is used to sort out the research status,application errors and processing strategies of the theme map of junior high school mathematics textbooks at home and abroad.Through the text analysis method,the junior high school mathematics textbooks selected as the research object are analyzed in depth,and it is found that the theme map has three types: life,architecture and other types,and the focus is on graphic,statistical probability,number and algebra On the one hand,the paper analyzes the distribution characteristics of the theme map,and further clarifies the functions and processing strategies of the theme map.In this paper,300 students and 32 mathematics teachers are selected from a middle school in a city of Shanxi Province as the research objects,and the current situation of using thematic map is investigated and analyzed.It is found that many students lack proper knowledge and correct methods of using thematic map.Some teachers pay attention to the degree of thematic map teaching,the methods of using thematic map and the construction of practice system There is still room for lifting the face.Based on the above research,this paper puts forward some targeted suggestions and countermeasures.First,teachers should pay attention to the use value of thematic map,use thematic map skillfully in the teaching process,guide students to use thematic map.Second,textbook writers should fully consider the three factors of students’ cognitive situation,time factors and mathematical content when designing thematic map.Third,junior high school students should learn how to use thematic map Actively read,analyze and use diagrams.
