The textbook is the core teaching material of mathematics course,and the thematic map is an important part of mathematics textbook.The thematic map is arranged according to the teaching content based on the mathematics course standard and serves for teaching.The research on the thematic map of mathematics textbook is expected to help mathematics teachers in the junior middle schools better integrate the thematic map resources in the textbook,more effectively give full play to the educational function of the thematic map.In order to guide the students' mathematics learning,optimize the teaching strategies of the front-line teachers and improve the compilation of the teaching books,it is of great theoretical and practical significance.Based on the theory of cognitive development,the theory of the first organizer and the theory of double coding,using the methods of literature analysis and action research,this paper takes the thematic map of junior middle school mathematics textbook as the research object and relies on typical teaching cases to explore the function of the thematic map and its application in mathematics teaching.On this basis,the author gives some thoughts for reference to teachers,students and the compilation of teaching materials.On the basis of the psychological development of middle school students,the mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition)and existing literature,this paper analyzes and studies the application of thematic map in classroom teaching in the form of case analysis,and summarizes the following functions of thematic map in mathematics textbooks:(1)to stimulate students' interest in learning;(2)to deepen the understanding of mathematics knowledge;(3)to cultivate students' practical ability;(4)to promote the cohesion of new and old knowledge;(5)to expand and extend mathematical knowledge;(6)to cultivate students' aesthetic ability;(7)to strengthen the moral education of students.Combined with the selected typical teaching cases,this paper puts forward five strategies for the application of thematic map,which are as follows:(1)as the first organizer,to create a situation and draw the outline;(2)to visualize the abstract knowledge and break through the key and difficult points;(3)to integrate the static thematic map and apply it creatively in the classroom;(4)to expand and extend the book knowledge by thematic map;(5)to infiltrate into the moral education by thematic map.
