Fairness is an important basis for campus harmony. When individuals are treated unfairly, they usually show dissatisfaction, disgust and produce corresponding resistance behavior, which is called unfair aversion by researchers.Unfair aversion will be affected by social comparison. In the daily life of college students, social comparison plays a very important role. They often make certain behaviors or decisions through social comparison with other students.Prospect theory holds that people tend to be loss averse, because the pain of the same amount of loss is stronger than the pleasure of the same amount of gain,so the avoidance of the same amount of loss is much greater than the approach of gain. This study investigated college students' inequality aversion under the two scenarios of benefit and loss, respectively, and explored the influence of different interest levels(unfavorable inequality and favorable inequality)and social comparison(upward comparison and downward comparison)on college students' inequality aversion. This study includes the following two experiments:Experiment 1: in the context of benefit, the influence of benefit level and social comparison on college students' unfair aversion was discussed. The experiment found that the level of interest affected the subjects' unfair aversion, and the subjects' rejection rate was higher and the reaction time was longer under adverse and unfair conditions.Social comparison affected the subjects' unfair aversion, and the rejection rate was higher and the response time was longer under the condition of ascending comparison. The proposed level affected the subjects' unfair aversion, and the rejection rate was higher under very unfair conditions.Experiment 2: in the context of loss, the influence of benefit level and social comparison on college students' unfair aversion was discussed. The experiment found that the level of interest affected the subjects' unfair aversion, and the subjects' rejection rate was higher and the reaction time was longer under adverse and unfair conditions. The social comparison had no significant effect on the unfair aversion of the subjects. The proposed level affected the subjects' unfair aversion.Under the medium unfair condition, the subjects' rejection rate was higher and the response time was longer.Through the above two experiments, this study mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)college students have an unfair aversion and a preference for fair resource allocation.(2)the interest level affects the students' unfair aversion, and the rejection rate of the subjects is higher and the response time is longer under the unfavorable and unfair conditions.(3)in the context of benefit, social comparison influences college students' unfair aversion.Under the condition of upward social comparison, there is a higher rejection rate and a longer reaction time.In the context of loss, social comparison has no significant effect on the aversion to injustice.(4)compared with the benefit situation, college students have a stronger aversion to injustice in the loss situation.
