Academic procrastination is a very common phenomenon among college students,that is,an individual's intentional postponement of completing academic tasks.Serious academic procrastination may affect the normal study and life of college students,and even negative self-assessments such as self-confidence and self-negation,thereby reducing their sense of self-efficacy.The research results show that there is a significant negative correlation between self-efficacy and academic procrastination.Improving individual self-efficacy can effectively alleviate academic procrastination.The research on academic procrastination and the improvement of college students' self-efficacy is mainly concentrated in the field of psychology and pedagogy.This article attempts to use the method of group work from the field of social work to intervene in the research.In this article,students with academic procrastination in University are selected as the research objects,and questionnaires and interviews are used to assess the status and needs of academic procrastination and self-efficacy.Through questionnaires and interviews,we found that this part of the students' academic procrastination is more common,and the overall degree of procrastination is moderate.Their self-efficacy results have lower expectations and insufficient efficacy expectations.On this basis,guided by social learning theory and cognitive behavior theory,the group work method is used to intervene in the issue of college students' academic procrastination.By carrying out group activities,combined with the form of after-school experience,designing and implementing group programs in a targeted manner,intervening for the purpose of improving self-efficacy,and gradually progressing through three stages of self-cognition,belief reconstruction,and behavior change to enhance their completion The self-confidence of academic tasks,the removal of unreasonable beliefs,and the formation of good learning behaviors,in order to improve the academic procrastination of college students.Concluding from the results of the intervention,the development of group work can improve the self-efficacy of college students with procrastination.At the same time,the phenomenon of academic procrastination has also been improved to a certain extent,and according to the follow-up survey,the intervention effect has a certain continuity.Besides,I would like to give some suggestions about how to solve the problem of academic procrastination and improve the self-efficacy of college students after this research and intervention service of social work.At first,build a multi-party support network to enhance self-awareness.Besides,give learning value Meaning,rebuild psychological success belief.Moreover,strengthen self-help learning ability and improve learning behavior habits.Finally,I hope this article can be a useful reference for future research.
