In recent years,the Chinese educational circle has explored many modes that break the traditional single-article teaching,and thematic teaching is one of them.Thematic teaching can enrich students' reading quantity and improve their text processing ability.It is an effective practical exploration of prose teaching to apply thematic teaching in prose reading teaching of junior middle school.This study combines thematic teaching with prose reading teaching in junior high school,adopts literature research method and case analysis method,and proposed strategies about how to apply thematic teaching in prose reading teaching in junior high school.By summarizing the previous studies.The writer analyzed the feasibility from the teaching material compilation and the prose teaching characteristics of junior middle school,analyzed from the significance from prose teaching target,teaching content,teaching methods and classroom effect.And then put forward about how to apply thematic teaching in prose reading teaching in junior high school,it's about the theme selection strategy,classroom implementation strategies,evaluation strategies.In order to deepen the discussion,the author makes an attempt in the last part of the article to launch the "teaching design based on topic selection dimension".Nowadays,Chinese teaching not only focuses on the accumulation of knowledge,but also puts forward higher requirements on students' text processing ability.This study applies thematic teaching to the teaching of prose reading in junior middle school,so as to improve students' text processing ability and contribute to the application of thematic teaching in prose reading teaching.
