The historical discipline has established five Key Competencies.Feelings of Nation and Country is the core value of humanity among the five Key Competencies of historical materialism.It mainly reflects the demands of history on students' emotional attitude and values.Also,The historical discipline is conducive to the cultivation and practice of social core values.So,how to cultivate students' Feelings of Nation and Country in history has become an important topic in history teaching and research.Feelings of Nation and Country asks students to find examples of identifying their hometown and nation,have deep love for their motherland and the people,combine the history learning with the development of hometown and nation.So,Feelings of Nation and Country requires students to identify with the national culture from two aspects:nation and country.The concrete expression of family in historical discipline is the local history,the concrete expression of country is the native history.Therefore,it is necessary to deal with the relationship between the local history and native history.But teachers focus on the native history and pay little attention to the local history which increase the difficulty for students to understand the emotional connection between home and country.Through the study of local history curriculum resources,students can feel the combination of hometown and national destiny,and understand native land emotion from a deep level.As an eastern coastal city,Yancheng is rich in historical curriculum resources,red culture,wetland culture and other local history curriculum resources.I hope that through the study of local history curriculum resources,middle school students can understand the local history and deepen their love for their hometown.
