"After school tutoring" in recent years appears to continue to be popular,and the group receiving after school tutoring is also the primary and secondary school students at the compulsory stage.What causes more and more junior high school students to take part in after-school tutoring? What is the current situation of junior high school students participating in after school tutoring? Does the after school tutoring meet their learning needs?In this study,the junior middle school students from grade one to grade three in four different secondary schools in three districts of Kunming were selected randomly by cluster sampling,a total of 550 students were randomly selected from 10 classes,and a total of 550 questionnaires were distributed,of which 489 were valid.SPSS22.0software is used to analyze the data from three dimensions: Cognitive demand,identification demand and selection demand,so as to understand the current situation of the demand of middle school students' after school tutoring study,grasping the demand state of junior middle school students' extra-curricular tutorship study in general.(1)The current situation of junior high school students' cognitive needs for extra-curricular guidance is that more than 40% of junior high school students need extra-curricular guidance;Seventy percent of junior high school students believe that the role of extra-curricular counseling is to improve the overall quality and broaden the knowledge.More than half of the junior high school students think that after-school tutoring is effective in learning,and most of them think that after-school tutoring is better,and most of them need after-school tutoring in test-taking skills and learning methods.The current situation of the demand of the extracurricular guidance for junior middle school students is that less than 40% of them are taking part in the extracurricular guidance,the heavy school burden is the main reason for not taking part in the extracurricular guidance,only 23(4.7%)people have never taken part in the extracurricular guidance The main reason for junior middle school students to choose extra-curricular guidance is to improve their grades.(2)Through the analysis of the cognitive needs of junior middle school students,the difference of junior middle school students is greater,and the students in the experimental class are more willing to accept after school tutoring,and the influence of after school tutoring on the students around is less.The difference analysis of junior high school students 'needs of extra-curricular guidance shows that the students who study well have strong ability of self-coordination in and out of school.The analysis of the differences in the needs of junior high school students for the choice of extra-curricular guidance shows that the family economic situation is the main factor that restricts the junior high school students to get poor grades,and the grades and parents' opinions are the main factors that influence the Crowd psychology.(3)The factors that affect the needs of junior middle school students for after school tutoring.Parents' sense of responsibility is not strong,backward education ideas,parents' Crowd psychology,schools overemphasize achievement,inadequatetraining of teachers,misinterpretation and negative influence of social policy;Teachers are overburdened,professional ethics is not high,students are influenced by the learning atmosphere of their classmates,learning motivation is not strong,and the relationship between teachers and students is not handled properly.(4)Suggestions for improvement.Parents change their wrong educational ideas and understand their children's learning needs;schools attach importance to the principal responsibility of schools and encourage teachers' growth;society promotes the balanced development of teaching reform,burden reduction and compulsory education;teachers change their roles and do research diligently;Students have the courage to express their needs and stimulate their interest in learning.
