The enhancement of learning motivation has a promoting effect on students 'learning effects and teachers' teaching quality.In college volleyball teaching,how to inspire and maintain students' motivation to keep them focused and active in learning throughout the learning process has always been a problem that educators have been exploring.Professor Keller in the United States has continuously improved on the basis of previous motivation theory,and designed a series of strategies to enhance students' learning motivation,that is,ARCS motivation design mode.This model mainly includes Attention,Relevance,Confidence,and Satisfaction,so it is also called ARCS motivation strategy.And this strategy has been applied in many fields by many scholars for a while,and has achieved remarkable results.However,most of the domestic researches on ARCS motivation models are based on theoretical courses in primary and secondary schools,and have achieved certain results.However,there is relatively lack of teaching research for volleyball and sports in colleges and universities.Therefore,using the research methods of literature,teaching experiment,questionnaire survey and other research methods,taking 60 volleyball general students of the 2018 physical education major of Sichuan University of Arts and Sciences as experimental objects,the application of ARCS motivation strategy in volleyball general teaching Teaching experiment research on the effect.The following conclusions are obtained:(1)The general teaching of volleyball in colleges designed by ARCS motivation strategy has a very significant effect on improving students' relevance and self-confidence(P <0.01),and it has a significant effect on improving attention and increasing satisfaction(P<0.05),students 'overall motivation level has been significantly improved;(2)ARCS motivation strategy-based volleyball teaching design and traditional teaching methods have a positive impact on students,improving students' overall volleyball technical level.Among them,the teaching effect of the three techniques of padding,passing and spiking using the ARCS motivation strategy is slightly more obvious,and the effect of the serving technique is equivalent under the two teaching methods;(3)The use of ARCS motivation strategy for volleyball teaching makes the learning and training method more effective It is diverse and interesting,which enhances the enthusiasm and initiative of students and improves the quality of teaching.It also provides a reference for the selection of teaching methods in college volleyball teaching.Suggestions:(1)Volleyball teaching design based on ARCS motivation strategy has achieved good results in improving students' technology and learning motivation.You can try to integrate it into the teaching of volleyball generalcourses in colleges and universities and promote its use;(2)When designing and implementing specific strategies,the motivation strategy should be flexible according to the actual teaching situation.(3)When refining the project strategy,it is necessary to accurately grasp the various factors such as textbooks,students,environment,etc.,and try to diversify the strategy design;(4)The selection of teaching methods in physical education in colleges and universities should not be constrained,and need to be constantly Work hard to study and practice other sports teaching methods,boldly innovate,and provide new teaching methods for volleyball teaching and physical education.
