| The teaching pattern of primary and Junior high school which are two adjacent and necessary stages of our compulsory education is disconnected and separated by their own teaching systems.This pattern for students has no advantage in accumulating knowledge of biology.Since the pattern breaks compactness,continuity and wholeness of knowledge.This study is based on the content research of Science of Qingdao edition in primary school and Biology of PEP edition in Junior high school.The respondents of this paper are all students and teachers.In this paper,some research methods such as the questionnaire method,the documentary research method,comparative analysis method and statistical data analysis method are adopted to pursue the linkage strategies between science teaching in primary school and biology teaching in Junior high school.Firstly,by collecting and reading through all relevant literature,the author learned the whole situation of teaching research of primary school and Junior high school,and understood the latest teaching concept and research tend.And the author specifies some relevant definitions.Besides,This author expounds the relevant theoretical basis and from the theoretical level prove the necessity of this subject research in this paper.Secondly,through the analysis of curriculum of two stages and course book content selection and arrangement,this paper finds that most of teaching contents of two stages can be connected with each other.And it finds the linkage points for teaching between two stages of primary school and Junior high school.Thirdly,a questionnaire survey was carried out among science teachers in primary school,biology teachers in Junior high school and pupils in grade six.The author has got a deep understanding of current biology teaching situation of primary and Junior high school.The questionnaire for teachers shows as following.1)The working nature and specialty of science teachers are unreasonable.One third of primary school teachers are part-time teachers.And the teachers who major in science or related subject only account for 51.1 percent.Junior high school biology teachers do not have this problem.2)The perception of teaching linkage from different teachers is very different.Ninety-one percent of primary school teachers have realized the importance of teaching linkagein their mind.But nearly half of them are unable to settle the problem due to all kinds of reasons.On the other hand,23 percent of the biology teachers in Junior high school haven’t considered about the basic science learning of their students in primary school.Besides,58.1 percent of the biology teachers in Junior high school haven’t paid attention to teaching methods and learning methods of science subject in primary school.3)There are some findings in teaching exchange between primary and Junior high school teachers.About half primary and Junior high school teachers are not familiar with criterion of curriculum of the adjacent stage.64.4 percent of primary school teachers are familiar with biology course book of Junior high school,and 51.6 percent of Junior high school teachers are familiar with science course book of primary school.55.6 percent of primary school teachers and 48.9 percent of Junior high school teachers haven’t conduct any mutual class visiting or teaching exchange.The questionnaire for pupils shows as following.1)The interest of students in science from different schools has got significant difference.The students of Yingte primary school have got the highest average score of10.48 while the students of Wenyuan primary school have got the lowest average score of9.04.2)Half of the students have got a good learning habit and would like to follow teachers’ guidance.3)The level of mastery of science knowledge is between pass and good.Yingte primary school has got the highest score of 3.67 while Dongchang Road primary school has got the lowest score of 3.04.The pupils who did all five questions right in one quiz only account for 21.3 percent.In the end,according to the above research and actual teaching,the paper proposes implementation strategies of biology teaching linkage between primary and Junior high school.And three actual cases of teaching linkage are given in this paper for teacher’s reference in biology teaching in primary and Junior high school. |
