The core concepts of biology are located at the center of the subject of biology,and learning them well is of some importance to grasp their essence.In the compulsory education stage of elementary school "science" "life science" field of study for the junior high school "biology" study laid the foundation,the two have a close connection.Learning the core concepts of biology is the foundation for learning biology,therefore,organically connecting the two courses is conducive to the construction of core concepts of biology and the cultivation of students’ scientific literacy.This paper investigates some teachers and junior high school students of "Science" in primary schools and "Biology" in junior high schools in Ar Horqin Banner in Chifeng City by means of interviews and questionnaires,and further analyzes the fields of "Biology" in junior high schools and "Science" in primary schools and "Life Science" The teaching connection of core concepts,the following conclusions are drawn:First,a comparative analysis of the curriculum standards and teaching materials of "Biology" in junior high school and "Science" in elementary school is carried out,and it is found that there is a cohesive relationship between "Biology" in junior high school and "Science" in elementary school.From the comparative analysis of the writing characteristics of the textbooks and the teaching content,it is found that the writing characteristics of the two courses are relatively similar,and the teaching content has different degrees of cohesion.The connotation and extension of the core concepts in the field of life sciences in "Science" in primary schools are developmental,and there is a clear connection point with the core concepts in "Biology" in junior high schools.Second,through the teacher interview survey,teachers’ awareness of teaching articulation needs to be improved,100% of elementary school "science" teachers and 75% of middle school "biology" teachers believe that learning "science" in elementary school "life science" core concepts have a greater impact on the learning of core concepts in middle school "biology",and it is necessary to connect.Third,through a student questionnaire survey,it was found that93.09% of junior high school students were interested in the study of biology,believed that the knowledge of "Science" in elementary school would be helpful for the study of biology,and said that before biology teaching,it was necessary to review the knowledge of science in primary school first.79.67% of the students indicated that they could explain the phenomena in life with the core concepts they had learned.Therefore,it is necessary and significant to study the teaching connection of the core concepts in the field of "life science" of "Biology" in junior high schools and "Science" in primary schools.Fourth,based on the analysis of the curriculum standards and teaching materials,and based on the results of the specific investigation,the teaching cohesion strategies that are beneficial to the core concepts of the two courses are proposed,such as strengthening teachers’ awareness of teaching cohesion;focusing on communication;creating situations to stimulate students’ learning interest;strengthen students’ classroom participation;set up inquiry experiments to deeply understand concepts;emphasize basic knowledge and promote the deepening of concept connotations.In this paper,three core concepts of "Characteristics of Biology","Ecosystem" and "Photosynthesis" are selected to design teaching connection cases.Through the research on the connection of core concepts,it is hoped that it can provide reference for front-line teachers to connect the core concepts of "Biology" in junior high school and "Science" in primary school in the teaching process. |
