| Reading is important in life and learning because it is the highly mental activities,involved both cognitive and affective aspects.You can gain knowledge,mature thinking,and have life-long learning skills through reading.The ultimate goal of reading education is to raise a life-long reader.However school education focus on reader’s cognitive side but it’s necessary that pay attention to the investigating factors that can trigger the act of reading,emotional side is important in reading education.This paper comprehensively using research method such as literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method based on total 1098 cases from middle schools of 8 regions including Yanji,Helong,Hunchun,Dunhua,Longjing,Tumen,Antu,Wangqing to extracted reading self-efficacy current situation of Yanbian junior middle school students.The results of present study are following:1.The level of reading efficacy of junior middle school students in Yanbian area is generally.The average score from high to low was physiological state(3.34),reading progress(3.30),reading comprehension skill(3.13),social recognition(3.10)in order.2.In-terms of reading comprehensive skill,the ability of using reading strategies is not strong in reading comprehension skills,and the reading skills are deficient.3.In terms of social recognition,reading execution is not recognized,but attention is paid to the concerns of family members and teachers.4.In terms of reading progress,made progress in reading quantity,but not in quality.5.The level of positive emotion in reading is not high.6.In terms of gender and grade,the level of male students reading efficacy is lower than female students in all factors,and the level of improving reading efficacy between 1st and 2nd grades can not be maintained to 3rd grade.Based on these results,guidance teaching strategies to improve students’ reading self-efficacy are as follows.First of all,with regard to the function of reading comprehension,should provide skills,strategic guidance and opportunities to read good articles.Secondly,when it comes to social recognition,students should be given the opportunity to receive positive reviews in performing reading.And not only teachers but also family members should spare emotional encouragement to students’performance of reading.Thirdly,in order to improve reading comprehension,we should minimize failure and expand successful experience by designing educational content so that students can have success experience.Finally,about physiological state,make students feel positive when reading articles. |
