The perspective of talent training in the 21st century has undergone a qualitative change.Talent training in various countries has gradually changed from knowledge transfer to quality transfer.In 201 6,Chinese Ministry of Education released the "Chinese Student Development Core Literacy”for the first time that engineering thinking is an important component of core competence section.With the development of education informatization,STEM education,which focuses on solving practical problems with engineeringthinking,has begun to emerge,and it has become one of the main education and teaching concepts and the direction of future education development in the world to cultivate innovative talents.Junior high school students are in the best period of engineering thinking development and engineering thinking needs to be improved.Considering the current basic education curriculum system in our country,it is difficult to specially develop engineering courses or STEM courses to train students'engineering thinking.The author has conducted literature review and field surveys.It is found that the integration of STEM education and the science curriculum of junior high school students is the most feasible way to train engineering thinking of junior high school students at this stage.However,STEM education in China is still in its infancy and there is still no practical teaching mode and effective teaching to train engineering thinking of junior high school students.Strategy.Therefore,this research aims to construct a STEM teaching model that promotes the development of engineering thinking for junior high school students,and proposes targeted teaching strategies,in order to enrich the theoretical research of engineering thinking cultivation for middle school students;provide a new way for science education in basic education;and for STEM The design and application of teaching model provides a reference.This research firstly conducts a literature review of the research status of STEM education and engineering thinking ability training at home and abroad;STEM teaching model prototype;then under the guidance of design-based research methods,through three STEM project design studies,the model prototype was modified and improved in three rounds to obtain the "STDRC teaching model";finally,the obtained teaching model was carried out Explanation.The"STDRC teaching model" finally obtained in this research includes two cycles and eight links,namely:creating real problem situations,identifying problems and decomposing tasks,investigating research,designing solutions,building models,testing and optimization,displaying and Reflect and generate new challenges.The quantitative analysis of students'engineering thinking level after three rounds of teaching practice shows that the "STDRC teaching mode" can effectively improve students' engineering thinking ability.However,this study still has certain limitations,which will be further improved in subsequent studies.
