Under the requirements of curriculum standards,the textbooks specifically reflect the main content of the subject teaching.Textbook reform is one of the important contents of basic education reform in China.The comparison of teaching materials can not only promote the construction of teaching materials,but also provide guidance for teachers in teaching.Complex numbers are an important part of the connection between elementary and advanced mathematics.However,the teaching time occupied by the complex numbers in high school mathematics is only a few hours.How to choose and organize the content of complex numbers has always been a topic of concern to teachers.In this study,the complex numbers are taken as an example,and the A edition of People's Education Press and IB DP edition of the textbook(published by IBID Press)are selected for in-depth comparative research.In the research,the literature research method,textbook research method and related research results have been used.A comparative research method is adopted for the layout,content structure and style of the two editions of teaching materials.The comparative study of examples and exercises is carried out using Bao's comprehensive difficulty model of mathematical problems.In addition,the complex numbers of the two editions of the textbooks and their corresponding curriculum standards were compared.Through the overall comparison of the two editions of the textbooks,it is found that the A edition of the textbook pays more attention to the display of mathematical culture and the laying and the laying of knowledge.The IBDP edition of the textbook involves more extensive mathematical knowledge.(1)In the form of layout,the A-edition of the textbook has a more hierarchical division of complex number,which is in line with the psychological characteristics of students.The layout of IBDP edition of the textbook reflects the emphasis on the use of information technology.(2)In terms of content structure,the two editions of the textbooks are very different.The A-edition textbook focuses more on the formation process of mathematical concepts.The question plates established facilitate students' inquiry learning.The IBDP edition of the textbook is more about the systematic and completeness of complex numbers,which is conducive to students' independent learning.(3)In terms of curriculum standards,the IBDP curriculum standards have higher requirements for complex numbers than the Chinese curriculum standards.The two editions of the textbooks have a high degree of agreement with the respective curriculum standards.(4)In terms of the difficulty of the sample questions,the comprehensive difficulty of the sample questions in the IBDP edition of the textbook is slightly greater than that of the A edition of the textbook.In terms of the two difficulty factors of calculation and reasoning,the difficulty of the A version of the example questions is greater than the IBDP version of the textbook.In terms of the two difficulty factors of inquiry and knowledge content,the difficulty of the IBDP version of the textbook example is greater than that of the A-teaching textbook.Both editions of the textbooks lack examples with practical background.(5)In terms of the difficulty of the exercises,the overall difficulty of the IBDP edition of the exercises is greater than the A edition.In the four difficulty factors of inquiry,calculation,reasoning and knowledge content,the difficulty of the IBDP edition of the exercises is greater than that of the A edition.In terms of background difficulty factors,the difficulty of people teaching A edition exercises is slightly greater than the IBDP editionThe characteristics of the IBDP edition of the textbook are:(1)The emphasis on the application of information technology in the textbook has improved the learning efficiency of students.(2)Focus on the in-depth study of complex numbers,which lays a good foundation for university study.(3)The number and difficulty of examples and exercises are large,which is conducive to students' consolidation and improvement of complex numbers learning.The characteristics of the compilation of the A edition of the textbook are:(1)Attach importance to the introduction of problem situations and arouse students' interest in mathematical learning.(2)Pay attention to the difficulty setting of the exercises and adapt to the development of students of different levels.
