As the basic stage for children's learning and growth,the Primary school is an important place of children's learning and growth.When entering primary school,children are faced with changes in their roles and living environment.School adaptation is a necessary ability for school-age children in the process of learning and growth,and also an important indicator to measure the development of children's mental health.Children's school adaptation has a profound impact on children.Good school adaptation can promote children's physical and mental development,while maladaptive children have a series of problems.Parental control is a core dimension of parenting behavior and an important factor to promote the socialization of children.In children's social development,the effects of different parental controls on children vary widely.Parents' control of children's behavior can reduce children's problem behaviors and negative emotions,and promote children's social development and adaptation,while parents' control of children's psychology will hinder children's social development and adaptation.Ecological systems theory emphasizing family and school are the most closely related to individuals.Parenting behavior and children's school adaptation will interact with each other.Parental behavior control which is generally viewed as a positive parenting practice can positively predict children's school adaptation.While parental psychological control,as a negative parenting practice,usually lead to children's school daptation.Therefore,based on the existing research,in this study,805 primary school students were surveyed by“Parental Control Scale”,“Teacher-Child Rating Scale”,by a cross lagged study design,in order to describe the characteristics of children's school adaptation and parental control,as well as their reciprocal relationship.At the same time,it can also provide some guiding suggestions for the follow-up family-school collaboration and intervention for the adaptation of students.SPSS18.0 and Mplus7.0 were used to analyze the date.The results were as follows:(1)The overall level of school adaptation of children was better in the two measurements.There were gender and grade differences in school adaptation of children,and girls' school adaptation was significantly better than boys' school adaptation.Children in grade 4 and grade 5 reported higher school adaptation than those in grade 3.There were significant gender and grade differences in parental behavioral control and psychological control in Time 1 and Time 2.Boys' psychological control was significantly higher than girls',and girls' maternal behavioral control was significantly higher than boys'.The behavior control of parents of fifth grade children was significantly higher than that of third grade children.(2)There was a significant correlation between parental control and children's school adaptation.There was a significant negative correlation between parents' psychological control and children's school adaptation in the two measurements.Only in the second measurement,there was a significant positive correlation between parental behavior control and children's school adaptation.(3)The results of cross-lagged analysis shows that parental psychological control could significantly and negatively predict children's school adaptation after one year,while parental behavior control could positively predict children's school adaptation after one year;Children's school adaptation could negatively predict parents psychological control after one year and could positively predict parental behavioral control after one year.In the mother control and children's school adaptation model,T1 mothers' psychological control affected T2 children's school adaptation.Therefore,T1 mother's psychological control was the antecedent variable,while T2 children's school adaptation was the outcome variable;T1 children's school adaptation affected T2 mother's behavioral control.That is to say,T1 children's school adaptation was the antecedent variable,while T2 mother behavior control was the outcome variable.In the father control and children's school adaptation model,the father's psychological control was affected by children's school adaptation.That is to say,T1 children's school adaptation was the antecedent variable,and T2 father's psychological control was the outcome variable.T2 children's school adaptation was affected by T1 father's behavioral control,that is,T1 father's behavioral control was an antecedent variable,and T2 children's school adaptation was the outcome variable.
