Fukuyama's Theoretical Study Of Political Decay

Political decay is an objective phenomenon in human political life.After World War II,western scholars often took political development as their special research object but ignored the objective existence of political decay.Until the 1960 s,Huntington officially started the study of political decay in the sense of political science.In the face of the complicated political development reality in today's countries,Fukuyama,based on Huntington's research,carries out an in-depth study and further analyzes the causes,manifestations and countermeasures for the political decay.At the same time,Fukuyama also hoped to demonstrate reversely the correctness of the "The End of History" through the political decay.These are the theoretical backgrounds of Fukuyama's political decay theory.With the development of political reality,democracy seems deadlocked and China emerged on the world stage as a new development model.These are the realistic backgrounds of Fukuyama's theory of political decay.The main contents of Fukuyama's political decay theory are as follows:Firstly,it is proposed that any country may have political decay.Secondly,the key to getting rid of political decay lies in strengthening state-building and balancing the relationship among the three institutions: the state,the rule of law,and the democratic accountability system.These contents mainly focus on the development of national politics from the perspective of political decay,which has become the research paradigm for analyzing the decay of national politics.At the same time,Fukuyama's new view of human nature runs through this theory.Finally,this author attempts to objectively evaluate Fukuyama's theory of political decay.From the perspective of theoretical value,Fukuyama's research on political decay enriches the western theory of political decay,and puts forward a new research perspective and framework.From a practical point of view,there are some problems in the development of developing countries at present,and the prominent problems mainly include weak national capacity and blind copying of the development model of western countries.Fukuyama's theory of political decay has certain reference significance for solving these problems.At the same time,the thesis also found the shortcomings of the theory.The theory is based on Fukuyama's adherence to liberal democracy.In addition,the incomplete contents of some parts make this theoretical system still need to be improved.
