A Study Of Human Development Thought In The German Ideology

The German Ideology(hereinafter referred to as "the Ideology")is a symbol of the formation of Marxist anthropological thought.In the Ideology,Marx and Engels,based on the antagonistic contradictory movement of capitalist society and the inevitable trend of human social development,systematically expounded the main viewpoints of the theory of human development and formed the value orientation of scientific assessment of human development.The thought of human development in the Ideology is not only the crystallization of the thought that ruthlessly exposes the suppression of free and comprehensive development of human beings in capitalist society,but also a forward-looking revelation of the essence of future society,which has important guiding significance for the development of socialist society.The body of the paper is divided into four parts: the first part introduces the theoretical sources and premises of the thought of human development in the Ideology.The theoretical sources and premises of human development in the Ideology are obtained by combing the human development ideas of modern bourgeois thinkers and the early writings and ideas of Marx and Engels.The second part expounds the main ideas of the Ideology of human development.First,Marx and Engels,on the basis of their criticism of "abstract man",made a scientific definition of "real man",that is," the real man" is a living,practically active,socially living,human being.The "real person" is a living,practicing,socially living,conscious person.They also explained that the "real person" is a unity of natural and social attributes,reality and social-historical nature.Second,Marx and Engels pointed out that the development of man is mainly the development of subjectivity.In the view of Marx and Engels,human development is the development of human needs,human social interaction,human ability and human freedom of personality.Only in a communist society can human beings be liberated and achieve free and comprehensive development.Third,Marx and Engels clarified the environment and conditions needed for human development.The "real man" lives in a social history transformed by practical activities and cannot be separated from a specific social environment and material conditions.Forth,Marx and Engels pointed out that practice is the fundamental way to promote personal development.In practical activities,human needs and various abilities are directly developed.The third part elaborates the historical position of the thought of human development in the Ideology of Marxism.It is mainly manifested in three aspects: firstly,it unveils the mystery of the "real human being",secondly,it clarifies the real environment of human development,thirdly,it stipulates the evaluation criteria of human development.The fourth part expounds the contemporary significance of the Ideology of Human Development.Today,China has entered a new era and started a new journey of building a comprehensive socialist modern country.The systematic study of the Ideology's thought of human development is of great significance for insisting on the reality and creating a people-centered development environment;actively playing the role of practice;and building a community of human destiny.
