An Exploration Of The Fusion Of Jazz Elements And Folk Music In Zhang Shuai's "Three Preludes"

Piano has been in China for more than one hundred years.In the past one hundred years,piano creation has made amazing development in China.More and more Chinese composers are studying the creative techniques of piano music.Many Chinese piano works are constantly emerging,and a large number of Chinese music works have been integrated into the treasure house of world music.This series of works was born in 1998 and successfully premiered in the concert hall of Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 2000.This work has absorbed modern western composition techniques and added Chinese five-tone mode at the same time.This unique fusion of modes makes this work full of strong national connotation without losing the characteristics of western traditional music.At the same time,the work also reflects the author's changes and breakthroughs in creative techniques.In addition,the rich harmony colors of the works and the vivid music image,therefore,"Three Preludes" won the Golden Bell Award of Chinese Music in 2002,and was later designated as one of the must-play Chinese repertoires in the semifinals by the "Golden Bell Award" piano competition.He has been frequently performed outside and received wide acclaim,and was selected into the music score series of Shanghai Music Publishing House "A Century of Chinese Piano Solo Works(1913-2013)".On February 8,2014,the world-renowned pianist Tian Jiaxin performed Zhang Shuai's "Three Preludes" at a special concert at Lincoln Center in New York.Through the research and excavation of this song,we will deeply explore how to follow the elements of jazz music and how to subtly integrate the jazz style into traditional Chinese folk music.As to whether the elements of Chinese national music and jazz should be inherited or merged,should be used for reference or collage,dialogue or parallel development,there is a need for constant exploration.The author hopes that through the research of this paper,the latter can be useful Certain reference significance.
