“V ge C” is a common spoken expression in modern Chinese,which is often used to express a great quantity of subjective meanings and reflect the speaker’s strong subjective feelings.This paper,based on the construction grammar and three planes theory,explores the special construction meaning,discourse function and formation mechanism of “V ge C” construction from the synchronic and diachronic dimensions,which in order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the construction and provide theoretical guidance for teaching Chinese as a foreign language better.The introduction of this paper clearly defines the research object and scope of "V ge C" construction,and investigates and summarizes the current research situation of the construction by the scholars.The first chapter uses the construction grammar from the synchronic perspective,determines that "V ge C" is a typical construction,and describes and analyzes the syntactic function and semantic characteristics of the construction in detail from the syntactic and semantic layers.As far as syntax concerned,the part of speech and semantic characteristics of the variable "V" 、 "C" that can enter the construction are examined.And it is clear that the constant "ge" has been reduced to an atypical auxiliary word with the function of marking the subjective amount.Semantically,under the interaction of each component meaning,"V ge C" construction shows strong subjectivity and certainty,which is used to express certain facts,inferred results,firm determination and urgent will.The second chapter uses the theory of textual linguistics to analyze the distribution characteristics,sentence type selection,inter-sentence relationship and emotional color of "V ge C" construction.And concludes that the construction have the discourse function of subjective expression,exaggeration emphasis and focus highlighting.The third chapter explores the forming process of "V ge C" construction from the diachronic perspective.And using cognitive linguistics theory to explore that the construction is evolving under the influence of internal mechanisms such as metaphor and metonymy,construction coercion,reanalysis and other external factors such as distance iconicity,salience of language and high frequency use.The fourth chapter compares "V ge C" with " V ta ge C" and “V de C”,and finds out the similarities and differences between them in syntax,semantics and pragmatics,which in order to highlights the particularity of this construction.The fifth chapter is based on the current situation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language with "V ge C" construction,and combined with the ontological study results of this construction,putting forward specific teaching strategies and methods to help learners master this construction efficiently. |
