As a way to express culture,art is closely connected to culture,although it cannot represent culture itself.Oil painting originated in the west and was introduced to China later.However,there are differences in aesthetic psychology and aesthetic needs between western and Chinese people,because of different cultural backgrounds.Therefore,in order to highlight the artistic characteristics,the characteristics of China's times and the aesthetic needs of the people must be considered as a whole to improve the development of oil painting in China.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,the people became the masters of the country.Along with the stability of life and the rapid development of economy,people's aesthetic demand is constantly improving,and people's demand for oil painting is also increasing.Especially after the reform and opening up,artistic works gradually became a unique commodity and consumer goods.The current art market and artists' artistic creation are influenced by the public aesthetic taste and level.Therefore,it is particularly important to clarify the development context of public aesthetics and Chinese contemporary oil painting,clarify the relationship between public aesthetics and the development of Chinese contemporary oil painting,and seriously think about the future development of Chinese contemporary oil painting under the influence of public aesthetics.Therefore,this paper discusses the following three parts---the development and change of public aesthetics in contemporary China,the development and active exploration of Chinese contemporary oil painting under the guidance of public aesthetics,the interaction between public aesthetics and Chinese contemporary oil painting.The first chapter focuses on the development and change of public aesthetics and its overall characteristics after the founding of China.Considering the great differences of public aesthetics before and after the reform and opening up,this chapter discusses them in two periods,taking the reform and opening up as the node.The second chapter focuses on the development and active exploration of Chinese contemporary oil painting under the guidance of public aesthetics in two periods,which also taking the reform and opening up as the node.The third chapter,on the basis of the first two chapters,focuses on the mutual interaction between public aesthetics and Chinese contemporary oil painting.Through the discussion of the above three chapters,this paper hopes to clarify the relationship between the public aesthetics and the development of Chinese contemporary oil painting and offer some help to our oil painting creation today.
