Under the impact of e-books,the publishing industry has undergone great tests.Therefore,many book designers begin to explore the irreplaceable value of paper books.They dig deep into the connotation of topic selection,boldly try new materials,and dare to challenge the binding process in order to innovate the design form of books,and paper books have a new look.As a freelance bookmaker with an independent publishing house,Yukosho Matsuda’s books are unique in the world of publishing.Matsuda Yuke is a famous book designer in Japan.He adheres to the idea that books are works of art and pays attention to the materialization of books.His book do thinking wide width,theme is wide-ranging,everything,instead,approach to the narrative method of book design is different: paper material using diversity,colour is bold and delicate,unique and exquisite technology,books space form diversification,book design,from concept to materialized,and from the whole to the detail infinity the spatial dimension of the book.The content perspective is novel and unique,the form is ever-changing,so that the readers can experience the infinite circulation of space,feel the unique temperament of the book,and thus get the enjoyment of reading the United States.By analyzing the causes of his book design style,this paper analyzes the main ideas of his book design,and explores the spatial expression of his book design from the perspectives of two-dimensional visual space,three-dimensional visual space and psychological space,in order to provide some references for domestic book designers in their design practice.
