Art songs are an extremely important part of vocal music teaching,English art songs can be traced back to the early 16 th century,is one of the important categories of many foreign art songs.Among the many artistic songs,it is very common for different composers to write songs using the same poem.O Mistress Mine is a poem from the third act of the second act of the British writer William Shakespeare's five-act opera Twelfth Night,in which the same-word art songs by composers Roger Quilter and Gerald Finzi are played in musical tones,sounds,musical styles,piano accompaniments,Comparing the aspects of artistic processing,the two composers are more representative english art song composers,by looking for the differences and commonalities between the two understandings of the works,hope that as far as possible in the analysis and interpretation of the two works at the same time,to explain clearly in the singing of these two works in some of the need to pay attention to the issues,for other singers to provide reference and help.
