Art songs are a unique form of romanticism music.It originated in Europe in the 19 th century.It was produced on the basis of lyrical songs and gradually developed into the world.As one of the most important composers of English art songs,Roger Quilter has made great contributions to the development of the UK in the form of chamber music combined with poetry and music.Among the composers,songwriting was the first person in his life.The composer Quilter created a beautiful art song based on the poet Robert Herrick's poem "To Julia".This article has studied the song in as much detail as possible,mainly from the poetry content and the song composition background.This article discusses seven aspects,including song structure,tone and tone,English art song singing and singing skills.This article analyzes the text of poetry in order to understand and express the poet's poetry more deeply.The study of music structure and tonality is to combine the charm and poetry in music better,so that the work can be expressed more appropriately through sound.Based on his own vocal learning experience and summarizing his own learning experience,he expounded his own understanding of the value of this set of tunes and some issues that need attention in singing.
