Analysis Of The Composition And Performance Of Debussy's "For The Piano"

Achille Claude Debussy,a French composer,is known as the originator of Impressionist music for his bold innovation of traditional music.Debussy created piano suite for piano in 1901,which is considered as a key work in his career.The suite includes three works: Prelude,Sarabande and Toccata."For the piano" is the first work to use keyboard instruments to express Debussy’s creative characteristics,which has been widely concerned by the music industry.This paper discusses the content of three chapters: the first chapter introduces Debussy’s life and the creative background of "for the piano";the second chapter analyzes the musical structure of "for the piano";the third chapter discusses the performance characteristics of "for the piano" based on his own performance experience.
