Wang Gen’s Le is a major breakthrough and transcendence of the Confucian Le tradition, and it is also the theoretical cornerstone that propelled the development of Confucian Le thought in the middle and late Ming Dynasty to become more secular and perceptual.Wang Gen’s Le is the reflection and concrete practice of reality, showing his spiritual pleasure realm, but also the positive mind to take the world as its responsibility to realize the outer world, manifesting the realistic value of self and social care. This thesis is divided into four chapters to interpret Wang Gen’s idea of Le one by one:The first chapter interprets the personal learning background of Wang Gen’s Le thought from the perspective of the history of thought, and then explains his theory of conscience from Yangming’s "to conscience" to "conscience to" and proposes the theory of heavenly conscience and the theory of daily use of conscience. The second chapter interprets the happiness of Wang Gen’s Life from three aspects: "The happiness of the common people everyday use is the Way",that is,the pleasure of affirming the existence of individual life and obtaining the right to live;"The happiness of respecting the body in order to secure the family and the state" means to value the individual body and to use it to achieve personal peace and happiness with the family and the state;"The happiness of benevolence of ’Dacheng’" means the realization of personal values and the perfection of all things in their place. The third chapter discusses the concealment of Le and the methods of restoring it.In which the problem of masking of happiness is due to the actor’s inability to unite with the present conscience essence into a state of perfection because of selfish desires;Restoring happiness means restoring the essence of personal happiness through the "conscience-based" work of accommodating desires, knowing, and learning from things. The fourth chapter discusses the relationship between Wang Gen’s Le and aesthetics, that is,"Le" is the essence of aesthetic feeling, and it is the ultimate experience of the individual’s "body" to obtain the beauty of "common people everyday use" in practice.
