Russian literature occupies an important position in world literature.The rich Russian literature has trained many outstanding children's writers: Tolstoy,Pushkin,Gogol,etc.Their works are very popular,with Russian and national characteristics.In recent years,as an important branch of Russian literature,juvenile literature is written specifically for teenagers aged 12-18,it has also entered the field of Chinese readers due to frequent translation activities.F.P.Krapivin is a famous Russian writer of children's literature and has won many awards,such as the "Big Ring" Award,"Alexander Green" Award,etc.In 2014,he was awarded the Russian Presidential Prize for Literature and Art.For a long time,Krapivin is well known for his children's literature,but his juvenile literature still has the value of translation and research.This translation report is selected from the famous Russian juvenile literature writer "Poplar tree" by Krapivin.The novel leads to the theme of protecting children by telling the issue of juvenile justice and calls for protection and respect for the interests of children.It is considered to be Krapivin's most infectious work."Poplar tree" was published in Russia in 2011,and there is no Chinese translation yet.The part of novel excerpted in this report is rich in dialogues and descriptions of characters.Translator analyses these two characteristics and uses translation skills such as amplification method,sentence combination,sentence division to analyze the difficulties encountered in the translation process,so as to ensure the accuracy and readability of the translation and strive to achieve the unity of the translation with the original style to the greatest extent.Besides,translator restores the vivid characters in the original text.Through translation,translator hopes to flexibly apply the translation theories learned in the textbook to actual translation and improve his translation level.
