Since the 21 st century,the whole world is facing the problems of declining fertility rate and aging population.Many countries are studying the causes of these problems and actively looking for countermeasures to solve these problems.This article is a report on Russian-Chinese translation practice.The object of translation is the first chapter of the work "Dear Children: Declining Fertility Rate and Increasing Value of Women in the 21 st Century" by the Belarusian sociologist Anna Shadrina.This work was published in Russia in 2017,and there is no translation in China yet.This report is mainly a case analysis of the translated text.During the translation process,the author uses different translation methods,mainly from the vocabulary level and the sentence level.In terms of vocabulary,the translation of foreign words and terms is analyzed,and Chinese idioms are used for translation.In terms of sentences,the translation methods of adding words,subtracting words,co-translation and adjusting word order are adopted.Through the translation practice of the original Russian text,the author has improved his own translation level,and deepened the understanding of translation theory.
