Sanda,a treasure of Chinese culture, has a long history in China. In the late1980 s and early 1990 s,Shanghai University of Sport(SUS)established a first-tier training base for young Sanda athletes in China, where a number of national champions and world champions have been cultivated. In recent years, with the gradual improvement of the people's economy and living standards,a strong body has become a goal pursued by many people.Unlike free combat and Taekwondo,Sanda is still a relatively niche sport. There is a large gap in domestic Sanda athletes,Sanda coaches, and Sanda event organizers. The training of high-level professional athletes and professional coaches has encountered bottlenecks. In order to make Wushu enter the Olympic Games,China has made unremitting efforts. But Sanda,as a branch of Wushu, only appeared in the Beijing Olympics as a performance show in 2008.And we still have a long way to go before making it an official Olympic event. In this documentary, three Sanda-related protagonists are selected, one is Sanda athlete LIANG Yu,Sanda professional coach JIANG Haidong, and Sanda event organizer ZHANG Guifeng. The three are intertwined through an intermediate Sanda event. In the first year of coaching,Sanda coach encountered accidental injuries to their players;Sanda athlete failed to compete after actively preparing for the battle;event organizers had just finished their military career and started organizing events, showing confusion. This document confirms the current situation of Sanda to a certain extend by telling the story of three Sanda People who work tirelessly for their dream.
