| For a long time,in the public mind,e-sports born with original sin,e-sports professional player is just a bunch of Internet addiction teenagers.In recent years,with a large amount of capital investment,the development of e-sports industry ushered in the period.Economic development and huge demand caused the attention of the relevant state departments,national and local levels are introduced relevant policies to support E-sports benign development.E-sports professional players also became the darling of the media spotlight,the mainstream media began to publish relevant documentary for e-sports professional players.Based on the above background,this article obtains from the discourse perspective,selected the mainstream media released all e-sports related documentary,and through self-built corpus,based on the agenda-setting theory,framework theory and media image study research,based on the three-dimensional analysis framework,quoted by Norman Fairclough,from the text Three dimensions of discourse practice and social practice to analyze and study the image discourse of e-sports professionals in documentaries.It is found that in the contemporary non-commercial documentaries in China,e-sports professionals are the "Internet addicted youth" who are not understood by their parents,the elite players who highlight their excellent competitive skills,the "dreamers" who win glory for the country,the new jobs with high salary,high pressure and lack of social security.In addition,in the presentation of its image,there is a shift from single case selection to multiple,description discourse from one-sided to stereoscopic,attitude from negative to positive.But there are several problems also in the presentation of its image.Such as too much extreme cases,heroic tendencies and the absence of female e-sports professional players.The next time,this article analyze the causes of the above phenomenon from the economic discourse,policy support and cultural context.And then this article put forward four suggestions about the presentation of e-sports professional players’ image,such as multiple book collections to break stereotypes,pay more attention to the female e-sports professional players,narrative discourse became more objective,true and comprehensive,and break down social barriers and correct popular prejudice against e-sports. |
