Research On The Application Of Abstract Thinking In Decorative Pattern Design

With the highly developed material production in modern society,people are no longer worried about food and clothing,and even some people are not satisfied with the simple material needs.They begin to think about the spiritual feelings.It is an inevitable trend that people’s needs gradually turn to the spiritual field.The production of classic patterns in each era is influenced by the environment and history,and develops and evolves with the change of the background of the times.The classic patterns in different periods represent different social types,different national characteristics,different class forces and different spirit of the times,which includes the current situation and trend of historical development.In our decorative pattern design,it is often neglected and lacking for designers to study or analyze their context with abstract thinking.The birth of each design work is often affected by many factors,these factors are not accidental,independent existence,is closely related to the designer’s mode of thinking,the way to observe the world.By combing and studying the application of abstract thinking in decorative pattern design,it can lead to more in-depth thinking.Designers can strengthen the re understanding of time and space,improve the aesthetic connotation of the pattern itself,and promote the accelerated development of decorative pattern design.This paper first discusses the meaning,function and connotation of decorative pattern.While exploring the key elements of decorative pattern design,it summarizes the basic definition of abstract thinking,and finally discusses the role of abstract thinking in decorative pattern design.This paper takes decorative pattern design works as an example to conduct in-depth analysis and integrate abstract thinking into the author’s graduation design.
