The Use Of Weapon Images In Sculpture And Installation

Weapons play a dual role in human development.Weapons play a symbolic and iconic role in art works.Weapons often appear in sculpture and installation art.However,there is not much research on the use of weapons in art.This article is based on personal interests,personal professional direction and creative practice.It attempts to analyze the evolution of artistic beauty and functionality in the development of weapons,and discuss the use of "weapons" in art.The outline of the weapon itself,and its internal structural lines form the thinking from function to concept,and analyze the relationship between the “line” in the “weapon” and visual perception from image cases.Combining my creative practice to talk about my personal understanding of the use of "weapons" in sculpture and installation art.It can be seen that the weapon has gradually evolved from the initial killing tool to a symbol that distinguishes the user's class,population,and strength.In addition to practical performance,the weapon symbol function is given,which provides the possibility for the use of this image in the creation of artistic works,and can be used as a means to embody concepts such as "anti-war" and "life indifference and fragility".
