On The Image Interpretation Of Lu Xun's Novel "Hometown"

Lu Xun is a great writer and thinker in the history of modern Chinese literature.He uses literature as a weapon,enlightens the people with his thoughts,and never fails to write.He has left many classical works.The Hometown made in January 1921 is Lu Xun's novel with the theme of rural life.This piece was repeatedly selected as a middle school language textbook and is one of the must-read titles for middle school students.Lu Xun is also a hard worker in China's new arts business.He attaches great importance to the development of the fine arts and has a high level of imagery.He has always advocated young artists to pay attention to illustration creation,he has repeatedly written articles to guide the creation of fine arts,and attached great importance to the adaptation of comic books.The woodcut art also has its own opinion.Lu Xun not only used the novels,essays,poetry,prose,and translation as weapons to awaken the people,but also valued the visual presentation in the form of visualized images.As a spiritual existence,he inspires the people.Therefore,from the perspective of the images,Lu Xun's works can be better analyzed.Grasp texts and understand deep thoughts.There are many comic books adapted from Hometown.Also,There are many illustrations including oil paintings,comic books,sketches,ink paintings and woodcut prints.As a way of study of Lu Xun,from the perspective of image,it aims at reading the spirit of Lu Xun and his works.This thesis attempts to sort out and analyze the works of images more comprehensive,from the perspective of art to analyze creator's features and style.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter mainly interprets the text of Hometown,from the theme,characters and scene of the novel Hometown to pave the way for image adaptation.At the same time,l will list different books and illustration versions more comprehensively and carefully.The second chapter focuses on the comic adaptation of Hometown,including the creation of Han Heping,Sun Weimin and Zhao Yanchao.It mainly explains the writer's understanding of the novel from the artist's artistic style,composition and performance techniques,The author makes a comparative analysis and studies the emphasis of the painter's adaptation so as to highlight the different ways of interpretation and creative style of the work.The third chapter chooses the illustrated works adapted by painters,including woodcut prints of Bike Fu(former Soviet Union),Zhao Yannian,Gu Yuan,Gu Bingxin and Yang Han,cartoon illustrations of Feng Zikai and Ding Cong,and illustrations by Fan Zeng,Si Tuqiao,Zhang Shouyi and Wu Guanzhong.The purpose is to grasp the art of adaptation and diverse style.The fourth chapter is about the reflection and significance of the image deduction in the Hometown,compares and considers the laws and principles of image adaptation.The second section attempts to explore the inheritance and dissemination significance of the image adaptation to Lu Xun's text.
