Sun Tianmu's Research On The Style Transition Of Landscape Painting In Northeast China

Sun Tianmu(1911-2010),a famous landscape painting artist of Beizong,a librarian of the Central Research Library of Literature and History,and a professor of Jilin University of the Arts.Sun Tianmu came to Jilin Art College in 1960 to teach traditional Chinese painting.In the following ten years,after completing his teaching work,the painter also went deep into the deep mountains and forests of the Northeast to sketch from life in order to transform his traditional Beizong landscape painting pen and ink program and quiet and elegant.Literati’s interest,this period has also become a period of reform in the transformation of the painter’s landscape painting style,and the painter’s works in the 1990 s still have the "sketch-style" pen and ink expression and strong color expression of the northeastern period.The transformation of Sun Tianmu’s northeast landscape painting style is embodied in his breakthrough in traditional pen and ink expression,as well as the color expression full of regional characteristics,and the painting theme has been expanded from the the model of landscape painting-style ancient landscape to the new landscape painting form that portrays the natural scenery of the Northeast.The composition form of the traditional chapter layout has also made innovative explorations in painting materials,forming an era style with distinctive personal and regional characteristics.The painting pattern of his "New North School" landscape paintings boldly innovated on the basis of inheriting traditional pen and ink,and finally walked out of his own path of development of landscape painting.This spirit of "inheriting tradition and daring to innovate" has also had a profound impact on future generations.
