The Use Of Metaphors In The Creation Of The Animated Short "Human Insect Space"

Animation is a unique form of expression in film and television works.In animation creation,the creator’s thoughts,emotions and values will be presented in a distinctive form of artistic expression and dramatically exaggerate the spiritual power carried by the storyline.Animation works including characters,scenes,actions,colors,music and other elements provide a great use space for metaphors.The animated short films are short and refined,and even without dialogue,they use action performance as the narrative language.In order to fully display the theme of the work and make the audience accept it,the purposeful use of metaphor is extremely important,so that the audience can understand the creator’s thoughts and intentions more thoroughly,and complete the work.This article explores the techniques and functions of metaphors in the creation of short animated films by studying the existing metaphor theories and analyzing and explaining with excellent animation works as examples.At the same time,it elaborates and summarizes the conception and performance of metaphor in the creation of the personal graduation work "Human Insect Space".
