An Analysis Of The Creation Of Animation Short Film <MEDIUM&LIFE>

In the history of mankind,the replacement and development of different media will lead to changes in people’s lifestyles.In an increasingly globalized,networked modern society,in the face of endless information on the Internet,many people can only to be dominated,and the advantages of the Internet have also become its disadvantage.In this dilemma,analyzing the reasons will help us to understand the current media environment and explore coping strategies.Therefore,the author studies this problem by collecting relevant literature and works,and combined with his own experience,tries to express creatively on this phenomenon in the form of an animated short film.Animation can subtly reflect the real world,such as Germany’s "Balance",Britain’s "Village",France’s "Freedom of Bondage",or Yugoslavia’s "walking",Czech "hand" and so on.These works are very popular,because their plot design incorporates the creators’ thinking about the development of human thought state.The creation of animation is inseparable from the influence brought by the environment of the times."Medium & Life" is a creative work aiming at the exploration of formal and theoretical connotations on the basis of discovering problems and reflecting on life.The short film is centered on media and life,through creative practice to reveal the shaping effect of the Internet as a medium on cultural identity,and to guide people to dialectically view the impact and numbness of the Internet on society and individuals.The author uses the traditional medium of newspaper as a creative material,combining traditional paper-cut animation techniques with cartoon art modeling to explore the use of paper-cut animation in the new era.In this way to inspire the audience who is confused in the face of the Internet,and make them see changes in time and adjust their strategies accordingly,then be able to return moderately from the Internet space to the real space and treat the Internet rationally and autonomously.Based on the creation of "Medium&Life",this thesis makes a theoretical and practical exploration of the production of animated short films.This paper discusses the different roles of script,mirror,character,filming and composition in animation production,as well as the sentiment in the author’s creation.It has theoretical value and practical significance.
