As China's "one belt,one road" construction,bilateral trade has become increasingly frequent along the way.The use of Chinese as a second language will be more and more extensive.The use of business Chinese will become a trend,BCT business Chinese test has gradually entered the public view.As one of the four language skills of "listening,speaking,reading and writing",reading ability also provides guarantee for business Chinese learners to communicate effectively in their daily study,work and life.This paper tries to analyze the reading comprehension part of BCT business Chinese test through the theory of special purpose language and language testing,and summarizes its characteristics and needs to be improved,so as to provide new ideas for business Chinese reading test and teaching.This paper includes the introduction,which is divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly introduces the reason of the topic selection,the research status and the research methods.From the current research situation,the research on BCT business Chinese test,especially on its reading comprehension part,is rare.This paper tries to analyze and study the reading part of BCT test through the theory of language testing,so as to provide ideas for further research.The second part focuses on the analysis of BCT(A)and BCT(B)two different levels of reading questions by using the task feature framework.Combined with the detailed analysis of the real questions in three aspects: environment,text materials and test rules,it is concluded that the reading part of BCT is basically in line with the task feature framework of language test.The second part briefly summarizes the specific situation of BCT business Chinese test.By combing the examination syllabus and teaching materials,it analyzes that BCT reading comprehension plays an important role in the BCT test in terms of the number of questions,score,test time and other aspects,as well as the problems such as the small number of test related teaching materials,slow update and lack of targeted practice.In the third part,the task feature framework focuses on two different levels of reading questions: BCT(A)and BCT(B).Combined with the detailed analysis of the real questions in three aspects: environment,text materials and test rules,it is concluded that the reading part of BCT is basically in line with the task feature framework of language testing.In the fourth part,by comparing the BCT reading test with the business English test(BEC)and the Chinese proficiency test(HSK),the characteristics of the BCT reading test and the points for improvement are summarized.Through the comparison,it is found that BCT,as a special purpose language test,is slightly deficient in text authenticity,while as a language proficiency test,the types and skills of BCT reading test are too single.Finally,the fifth part puts forward the corresponding improvement measures and suggestions for these problems,and according to the relevant language testing theory,draws up a set of BCT(A)and BCT(B)reading comprehension test questions.It is hoped that this research and analysis can enlighten the future research of BCT and provide some help for the reading test and teaching of business Chinese.
