A Textual Research On "The Tomb Inscription Of Rizhao County Magistrate Xiangjun"

The tomb inscription of magistrate Xiangjun of Rizhao County in the Old Yuan Dynasty was found in Lanshan District,Rizhao City,Shandong Province,carving stone in the Yuan Dynasty to two years of Zhi Zheng.The inscription at top of tablet is design characters-“the Old Yuan Dynasty □□ General of Rizhao □□ and □□Monarch grave□□”.The inscription describes the life of Rizhao county magistrate Xianglin and his descendants.The tablet is huge and exquisite,with various characters.It is an excellent regular script inscription produced in the special historical and artistic background of the Yuan Dynasty.This paper studies the tomb inscription of magistrate Xiangjun of Rizhao County in the Old Yuan Dynasty from the following three aspects:One,this paper first summarizes the overall situation of the tomb inscription of magistrate-Xiang of Rizhao County in the Yuan Dynasty,and then carefully annotate and supplement the contents and words of the inscription,annals and writings.The tomb owner Xianglin’s personal life as well as his family lineage are detailed.Two,the second part is the focus of this paper.This part is the calligraphy analysis of the epitaph and the inscriptions on the epitaph,and then the comparative study of the epitaph of Xianglin and the inscriptions of the same period.Three,the local folk stele inscriptions are the important references for the study of the local history and politics,culture and art,folk customs and customs of the dynasties,which are authentic and reliable.The last part explains the value and significance of its research from the aspects of history and calligraphy art.Since its discovery,it has attracted the attention of local people and local government.It has been successfully included in the Shandong provincial government intangible cultural heritage.It is not only conducive to the local history of the region to better check the omissions and fill the gaps,but also for the study of the Yuan Dynasty calligraphy art for a certain supplement and study of the Yuan Dynasty calligraphy schools in the local folk development to provide a true and reliable basis.
