A Study Of Russian Orthodox Rituals In The Church Of Our Lady Of The Holy Mother In Harbin

The Orthodox Church in Harbin is closely related to Harbin's society,politics,culture,and foreign exchanges due to the special historical background of its emergence and development.After entering the 21 st century,the religious activities of the Orthodox Church were renewed in Harbin.With the help of Orthodox ceremonies,the church gives believers a sense of belonging to the community.The Chinese tradition and the Orthodox Church meet here,and the two cultures with different attributes collide and merge with each other.There are also considerable differences between the groups of Chinese and Russian believers in the Guardian Church of Our L ady in Harbin.We traced the causes of the differences in behavior between Chinese and Russian believers and introduced symbolic theory to confirm the above analysis.The journey of Sinicization of the Orthodox Church is at the beginning stage and is still developing.
