As an important frontier garrison in the northern area of the Ming Dynasty,YuZhou Wei was an important barrier to the west of the capital and had a very important military status,which was located at the junction of Xuanfu and Datong.Based on the valuable historical material of<Yuzhou Wei xuanbu>,combined with,local chronicles,anthologies,notes and other materials,this thesis organizes the text of<Yuzhou Wei xuanbu>,and analyzes and discusses Yuzhou Wei military officer group by analyzing the recorded contents.The contents of the internal and external wars of the Ming Dynasty recorded in the anthology reveal the changes in the strategic position of Yuzhou Wei in different periods of the Ming Dynasty,so as to add a new perspective to the overall understanding of Yuzhou Wei.This thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter mainly introduces the text of<Yuzhou Wei xuanbu>,and sorts out other important military admission archives cited in it.The errors in the text of the anthology,such as abbreviations,derivations,errors,duplicate records,etc.,are corrected.Some common characters and variant characters are summarized and discriminated,and the reasons are briefly analyzed.On this basis,the accuracy of the original text of<Yuzhou Wei xuanbu>should be improved as much as possible to facilitate the research and use of later researchers.The second chapter reviews and discusses the evolution of Yuzhou Wei's organizational system and the setting up of military officers.Regarding to the setting time of Yuzhou Wei,there are differences in the records of different materials in different periods,and there are also incorrect records about the establishment time of Yuzhou Wei's new three Institute.In this chapter,the relevant construction time of Yuzhou Wei is verified by combining the records of the correlative content of the military anthology,and strives to reach an accurate conclusion.There is also a gap between the system and reality of the setting up of Yuzhou military officers.By comparing the anthology with other Ming Dynasty political books,there is a huge difference between the actual number of military officers and the rated number of military officers.The third chapter discusses and analyzes the military officers of Yuzhou Wei as a whole.First of all,the source of Yuzhou military officers is analyzed.On the one hand,sort out the origin of their native place,on the other hand,summarize the source of the army.Military officers in Yuzhou mainly come from Shanxi,Nanzhili,Shanhou,Shandong,Beizhili and other regions.At the same time,there are a wide range of sources for joining the army,mainly including enlistment,attachment,stacking,and pumping.There are also a small number of military officers who join the army through collection,replenishment,and voluntary recruitment.Secondly,the development status of the Yuzhou military officers contained in the anthology is discussed from the three aspects of the military officers' guard,competition,military examination,and military attach selection.After analysis,it can be seen that in any aspect,there is a particularity of change at a certain point in time.At the same time,through the situation of Yuzhou military officers,the overall situation of garrison guards in the late Ming Dynasty can be seen.The fourth chapter sorts out the wars of the Ming dynasty recorded in the anthology of<Yuzhou Wei xuanbu>.This chapter summarizes the wars contained in the anthology into the three periods before,during,and after the Ming dynasty.In terms of spatial distribution,the main places where Yuzhou military officers participated in the war were Xuanda and Yansui regions.In special periods,some military officers was transferred to other parts of the country to calm down civil strife;in the time distribution,the wars recorded in the Xuanbu were concentrated before Wanli period,which was mainly related to the defensive tasks of Yuzhou Wei and the change in the relationship between Ming and Mongolia.Through the many records of war in the anthology,it can also be seen that Yuzhou Wei played an important role in the northern defense of the Ming Dynasty and had an important strategic position.
