The Study On Poems Of Military Officer In Song Dynasty

The Song Dynasty enjoys splendid culture. Poetic creation subject is diverse inSong Dynasty. Poetry is no longer the literary men’ exclusive and people from alllevels of society can write poetry. Military officer, although has never been listedseparately as the main study object, is the main object of study in this paper. It is notusually for people to link military officer with poetry, but from ancient to modern times,the poetry of military officer is not rare, especially in the Song Dynasty. The SongDynasty enjoys such a highly developed culture as almost everyone can recite poem, sothe military officer is also an important main body of poetic creation. This paper bases on"Poetry of Song dynasty", to research the cultural development in the Song Dynasty bystudying the poems of military officer. The military officer’s poetry can also reflect thelevel of creativity of the poetry of the Song Dynasty from one side.At present, Song Poetry study is generally thorough and comprehensive at home andabroad. A lot of achievements have been achieved either from theory aspect, or fromspecific works. Great progresses have been made either from single poet research orpoetry genres and groups in the Song Dynasty. Military officer is a special group in SongDynasty because their social status is lower than cotemporary literary men or militaryofficers from other dynasty.Under the guide of my teacher and with my own interest, I selected study on poemsof military officer in Song Dynasty as my topic. The main contents are as follows:The first part defines the concept of the military officers, and defines the concept ofmilitary officers’ poem on this basis, indicating the basis and the significance of thestudy.The second part, based on the creation overview and political changes, dividesmilitary officers’ poems into three stages: the Northern Song Dynasty, the Southern SongDynasty, and the end of the Southern Song Dynasty. This paper introduces the creationoverview, some important poets and their works, and further analyzes the artisticcharacteristics and ideological connotations,The third part, by comparison with the poems of literary men, deeply analyzes thecreation features of military officer. The fourth part summarizes the previous research, and analyzes the relationshipbetween the fate of poets and their poetries, and their impact on future generations.There is no research on poems of military officers in Song Dynasty. When talkingabout military officers, the first thought come to people’s mind is guns and gears, ratherthan writing a poem. However, many military officers in Song Dynasty had a very goodcultural enrichment, not only can they fight against enemies on battlefields, they alsoknow poems. The author hope people can have an initial understanding on militaryofficer and their poems in Song Dynasty, and pay much attention on their poetic creation.
