Zheng Birch Research (1937-1951)

Zheng Boqi is one of the first members of the creative society in the history of modern Chinese literature and one of the initiators of the "left league".He has made beneficial contributions to literature,drama,film scriptwriter,literary theory and literary criticism.Compared with the study of his literary activities and thoughts in the 1920s and 1930s,his literary creation and practical experience after the outbreak of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression have received little attention.After the outbreak of the war of resistance,except for a short period of four years in Chongqing,Zheng Boqi spent the rest of his time in Xi ’an.At the same time,his literary activities and practices were restricted and influenced by the special area of xi ’an during the war,which also brought positive influence to the development of xi ’an literary circle.Zheng Boqi’s literary activities and creative practice from 1937 to 1951 were carried out in two major historical backgrounds,which are "Anti-Japanese War" and"founding the nation".First of all,the war of resistance against Japan is an important event in the modern history of China.In this national crisis,the writers’ living conditions,psychological conditions and creative methods have been deeply affected by the war of resistance against Japan.Zheng Boqi’s literary creation and thoughts during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression are intrinsically related to his literary and artistic thoughts before the war of resistance against Japanese aggression.At the same time,it also reflects his unique aesthetic of reality under the theme of Anti-Japanese War.Secondly,the founding of the People’s Republic of China is also an important event in history,during which many writers experienced great changes in their creation and thinking after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the change of Zheng Boqi’s literary thoughts and creation is a continuation of his acceptance and recognition of Yan ’an’s literary thoughts in the 1940s,which is also related to the changes in the mode of literary production and the era environment after the founding of the People’s Republic of China.The first chapter summarizes the literary activities of Zheng Boqi from the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War to the early period of the People’s Republic of China,and analyzes the reasons for his frequent emigration during the Anti-Japanese War.Meanwhile,based on his literary activities in xi ’an period,this paper analyzes his influence on the development of regional literature.The second chapter introduces Zheng Boqi’s literary creation during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression,analyzes how he wrote the story of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression under the special and complex cultural context of the war,and his uniqueness in the creation of the war of resistance against Japanese aggression.The third chapter explains the process of Zheng boqi’s acceptance of yan’an’s literary thoughts in the 1940s and the adjustment of his own literary development direction,and further analyzes how Zheng Boqi participated in the new China’s literature.
