Research On The Modern Literature

The development of literature during the Anti-Japanese War showed many characteristics of literature at the time of war,especially in the regional space,the center of modern literature shifted,and the literary power that previously relatively concentrated began to spread to a number of different regions.Of course,the migration and convergence of writers quickly created some new centers,which have been the subject of widespread interest in established research.However,it is worth noting that some marginal literary areas activated by the national liberation war still have a lot of objects and space to expand and explore.The Modern Literature,founded in yongan,fujian province,is one of the representatives.As the most influential literary journal in southeast China during the Anti-Japanese War,The Modern Literature provided an important platform for many famous writers and young writers at that time,which not only cultivated many new artists,but also greatly promoted the literary development in southeast China.The Modern Literature pursued the principle of all-embracing editing,paying equal attention to theoretical criticism and literary creation.It participated in some important debates at that time and also left a batch of excellent works for the literary circle.This paper makes an overall study of The Modern Literature from the following four aspects.The first chapter is the overall overview of The Modern Literature.First of all,starting from the background of Anti-Japanese War and publishing environment in the 1940s,this paper sorts out the generation and development process of the publication,analyzes its successful running experience for three years,and explains the reasons for its final closure.Secondly,combining the perspectives of editing and communication,this paper studies the positioning policy,editing strategy and publication of the journal,and through the analysis of the two groups of editors and authors,this paper describes the basic outline of The Modern Literature.The second chapter focuses on the theoretical construction and critical practice of The Modern Literature.Publication participated in the literary debate by long argument,essays,book reviews and other forms.This chapter mainly analyzes the view of the publication on the "national style",the relationship between literature and politics,literature and life and so on,to explains the realistic tendency of the publication.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the achievement of literary creation.The first part mainly analyzes the themes of the novels,and studies the national awakening consciousness and strong realistic criticism reflected in novels.The poetry and prose in the journal on the basis of adhering to the spirit of realism,also had a variety of artistic pursuits.,therefore this chapter will start from the two aspects of realism and literariness,to further explore the journal's ideological depth and artistic color.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the significance of The Modern Literature.On the one hand,it promoted the development of literature in southeast China and strengthened the literary exchanges with other regions.On the other hand,the publication has preserved the imprint of one side of Anti-Japanese War literature,and is also a representation of the scene of literary history,which has precious historical data value.The overall study of The Modern Literature in this paper is conducive to deepening our understanding of the literature of the Anti-Japanese War,as well as providing a new perspective for us to study regional literature and understand the development of literature in southeast China.
