After more than 7,000 years of inheritance,lacquer art made major breakthroughs and developments in the period of the Warring States,Qin,Han,Sui,Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming,Qing dynasties in China.It evolved gradually from the decorative form of vermilion ornaments with black background into the form of colored drawing and inlaying with shell materials.Meanwhile it developed from its production and management agencies only established by official franchise into the government camp standing with the folk handmade lacquer workshop,and also moved into parallel progress of lacquer painting and lacquerware at present.The lacquer painting was officially developed as an independent painting till the National Fine Arts Exhibition in 1984.As a young painting style,there are many problems worth of our exploration and thinking.Taking Fan Fu An’s lacquer paintings as an example,this paper analyzes the application of Huizhou aesthetic image in the creation of lacquer paintings from the three themes of Huizhou women,Huizhou wood carving and Huizhou folk houses.Together with my graduation designs,this paper aims to analyze and interpret the application of Huizhou culture in the creation of contemporary lacquer painting,and using Huizhou culture as the carrier,we can achieve the inheritance and innovation for traditional lacquer painting language in contemporary art design and expression.
