This report is a translation practice report for the first and second parts of the education text College Learning for the New Global Century.The original text is an initiative from the American Association of Universities and Colleges for Liberal Education and American Promise.The original text intended to reform the development direction and working methods of American education for the new century.The original text is an academic educational text,whose Language characteristic is strict and accurate.The text used much passive voice,in which the sentences are long and complex.Based on the characteristics of selected text,the translator researched the translation of the meaning for context and words.In the translation practice report translator also studied the additional translation and conversion of the words.The translator analyzed the translation method for long and complex sentences from the perspective of Language order adjustment.Translation is carried out from both active and passive angles in the text in order to study passive voice.The translator hopes that this translation practice report and analysis can provide some references and useful suggestions for the translation of educational texts.
