"Sudan Asset Management And Evaluation Seminar" Interpretation Practice Report

This paper is a report on interpretation practice.From September 8th to 21 st,2019,the writer participated in the “2019 Seminar on Asset Management and Evaluation for Sudan” sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by the National Development and Reform Commission of China as an English interpreter and assistant.This report analyses the interpretation practice and puts forward solutions to the problems encountered during the practice.Two main problems are the interpretation of expressions with Chinese characteristics and the Sudanese English accent.As for the problems,corresponding solutions are brought forth,including amplification,free translation,a summary of the rules of pronunciation and association and prediction.What's more,the writer talks about an interpreter's quality,like language quality and non-language quality,through which interpreters can make continuous progress.The analysis and reflection is done in the hope of providing certain reference and lesson to the interpreters in relevant interpretation practice,thus making some individual contribution to the "Belt and Road" cultural communication and cooperation.
