Li Shizhen Under The Influence Of Taoism

Most of the research on Li Shizhen focuses on his medical aspects,while the related research between Li Shizhen and Taoism is rarely discussed.From the perspective of Taoism,this dissertation mainly studies Li Shizhen under the influence of Taoism.As a herbalist and medical scientist in the Ming Dynasty,Li Shizhen was deeply influenced by Taoism,which is reflected in his writings.By analyzing and sorting out "Compendium of Materia Medica",it is found that Taoist literature occupies a certain number of documents cited in "Compendium of Materia Medica".By tracing the sources of these Taoist literatures,Li Shizhen’s citations to Taoist literatures are characterized by a large time span,a wide variety of literatures,and a deep understanding.In the specific study of Li Shizhen’s works on the understanding of Taoist culture,it is analyzed from multiple dimensions that Li Shizhen dialectically absorbed the theoretical knowledge of Taoism,and expanded his own theoretical system of knowledge.By analyzing the reason why Li Shizhen was influenced by Taoism,it is reflected that Taoism still had extensive influence in the Ming Dynasty and extended to all aspects of society.In this historical background,in view of Li Shizhen’s outstanding contributions to medicine,he can be regarded as one of the typical representatives of the relationship between medicine and Taoism in the Ming Dynasty.Through the research and analysis of Li Shizhen,we can analyze the dialectical relationship between Taoism and medicine.The two influence each other.Taoism profoundly affects medicine,and medicine further expands the influence of Taoism.
