ObjectiveTo study the effects of" acuricular therapy using magnetic beads combined with Chinese medicine" on the improvement of fatigue degree,TCM syndrome score and peripheral blood image of patients with cancer-related fatigue(CRF)with qi-blood deficiency, and to evaluate its safety,so as to provide new ideas and schemes for clinical treatment of CRF.MethodSixty-four cases meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Shiquan Dabu Jiajian Decoction, and the treatment group was additionally treated with acuricular therapy using magnetic beads on the basis of the treatment.Seven acupoints including liver, spleen, kidney, lung, stomach,Shenmen and sympathetic acupoints were selected. After 3-5 d,a new magnetic pearl ear bean was replaced to the other ear acupoint.Patients were asked to point and press 3-5 times each time,30 times each time, for 28 days of treatment. Before treatment and on the 28th day of treatment, fatigue degree,TCM syndrome score and peripheral blood images were recorded in the two groups, and SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis.ResultBefore treatment, there was no statistical significance in the general condition and disease data between the two groups(P>0.05),which showed comparability.(1)Comparison of fatigue scores:the scores of the treatment group after treatment were statistically significant different from those before treatment(P<0.01).In the control group, the scores of sensation and total fatigue after treatment were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05),while the scores of behavior, emotion and cognition were not significantly improved(P>0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The difference between the two groups before and after treatment showed statistically significant differences in emotional and sensory scores(P<0.05),and significant differences in total fatigue scores(P<0.01),while there was no statistically significant difference in behavioral and cognitive scores(P>0.05).(2)Comparison of TCM syndrome scores:there were statistically significant differences in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.01);After treatment, there was a statistically significant difference in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P<0.05),and there was a statistically significant difference in the difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.01).(3)Comparison of curative effect of TCM syndromes:According to statistics, there were no cured cases in the two groups. In the treatment group,4 cases were significantly effective,18 cases were effective and 7 cases were ineffective after treatment, with a total effective rate of 75.86%.In the control group,1 case was significantly effective,15 cases were effective,13 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 55.17%.By rank sum test, there was no statistical significance between the two groups(P<0.05).(4)Comparison of TCM Symptoms and Efficacy:According to rank sum test, after treatment, there were significant differences in the efficacy of mental fatigue, lazy speech and restless sleep between the two groups(P<0.01);there were statistically significant differences in the efficacy of body fatigue, short breath, low voice, pale face and spontaneous sweating between the two groups(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the efficacy of residual symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).(5)Comparison of peripheral blood images:there was statistically significant difference in white blood cell count(WBC)in the treatment group after treatment compared with before treatment(P<0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences in other aspects before and after treatment(P>0.05).There were no significant changes in peripheral blood count in the control group compared with before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in the counts of peripheral blood images between the two groups(P>0.05).(6)Safety evaluation:During the treatment,2 patients in the treatment group suffered from abnormal auricle pain and 2 headaches, among which 1 patient stopped treatment due to unbearable headache. The pain of the remaining 3 patients was relieved after the pressure was reduced and the number of compressions was reduced, without affecting the treatment. Conclusions"Acuricular therapy using magnetic beads combined with TCM" can significantly reduce the fatigue degree of CRF patients with deficiency of qi and blood, effectively improve the clinical symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine, enhance the compliance of patients, improve the quality of life, and it is relatively safe to use in the short term.
