ObjectiveExplore the distribution trend of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome types of patients with abnormal sperm DNA fragmentation index.Besides compere the difference of those patients with Various indexes of spermatozoa then figure out the relevance.To observe whether there is a statistical difference in the changes of sperm DFI after the intervention of Bushen Shengjing recipe.MethodsReference to the Chinese medicine clinical research of new drugs guiding principles to design the questionnaire and put out it to the subjects,meanwhile collect the data of the Various indexes of sperm detection and sperm DFI of different patients before and after treatment with Bushen Shengjing recipeResults1.Totally give out questionnaires about125and collect118.The age distribution of the subjects was mainly between 30 and 34 years old,with more young and middle-aged patients;the BMI was mainly between 23 and 25(kg/m2),and their somatotype was obese.2.From high to low,the TCM syndrome types of patients with abnormal sperm DFI were kidney essence deficiency type(n=31,26.27%),kidney yin deficiency type(n=28,21.19%),kidney yang deficiency type(n=22,18.64%),liver depression and qi stagnation type(n=18,15.25%),damp-heat downward injection type(n=12,10.17%),non-syndrome distinguishable type(n=7,5.93%)and blood stasis type(n=3,2.54%).The single syndrome type(n=68,61.26%)was more than the compound syndrome type(n=43,3 8.74%).3.The sperm routine and morphological parameters of the subjects were normal in 15 cases,with a frequency of 12.71%,and 103 patients with abnormal parameters,with a frequency of 87.29%.The most common subjects with abnormal parameters were asthenospermia,followed by teratospermia,followed by oligoasthenospermia.4.The sperm density of kidney essence deficiency syndrome was significantly lower than that of other syndrome types(P<0.05).The sperm forward motility of kidney yin deficiency syndrome was significantly higher than that of other syndrome types(P<0.05).The total sperm motility of kidney yang deficiency syndrome was significantly lower than that of other syndrome types(P<0.01).The sperm deformity rate of damp-heat downward injection syndrome was significantly higher than that of kidney essence deficiency and liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome(P<0.05).The sperm DNA integrity of kidney yin deficiency syndrome was significantly better than that of kidney essence deficiency syndrome and liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome.5.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age can explain 40%of sperm density information(R2=0.040,F=4.842,P<0.05),and BMI can explain 61%of sperm morphological percentage information(R2=0.061,F=7.485,P<0.01).6.The addition and subtraction of Bushen Shengjing recipe could decrease the sperm DFI of 68 patients with kidney essence deficiency(n=26),kidney yin deficiency(n=24)and kidney yang deficiency(n=18),and significantly decrease the patients with kidney essence deficiency and kidney yin deficiency(P<0.01).ConclusionMost of the patients with abnormal sperm DFI are kidney deficiency,and most of these people have asthenospermia.Different TCM syndrome types have certain predictive value in sperm DFI,semen routine parameters and sperm morphological parameters.Bushen Shengjing recipe can improve the DFI of spermatozoa obviously,so it can be used in clinic.All in all,there is a certain correlation between the TCM syndrome distribution of patients with abnormal sperm DFI and the laboratory indexes of sperm,which can be used for reference in the future.
