| Gansu has been an important province for land reclamation for a long time.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the agricultural revival development was also affected by variety of natural disasters,especially by drought.In order to deal with the threat of drought and transform the disaster environment,water conservancy projects were set up in Gansu,which played an indelible role in ensuring and promoting the development of local agriculture.Through the research of drought response and water conservancy construction in Gansu Province in Ming and Qing Dynasties,this paper tries to explore the mechanism between disaster environment and agricultural production.The introduction defines the time and space scope of Hexi,Longzhong,Longnan and Longdong,analyzes the administrative construction of each local government.Meanwhile,it retrospects the academic history of disaster environment and agricultural development.The first chapter mainly introduces the agricultural geographical environment and production,hydrological and climatic conditions,agricultural disasters of Hexi,Longzhong,Longnan and Longdong in Gansu Province,and analyzes the environmental formation mechanism of disasters from the nature and society aspects.The second chapter uses the data of local chronicle,records and other historical documents in Ming and Qing Dynasties,takes the natural disaster records of Gansu Province as the research object,use the research method of measuring disaster history to measure statistics and analyze the natural disaster events,discuss the space characteristics of sample natural disaster event records,structural characteristics of natural disaster events in different regions,and find the occurrence law of natural disasters in Gansu in Ming and Qing Dynasties.The third chapter studies the characteristics of conservancy development and enginnering in Hexi Corridor Oasis Agriculture,Longzhong Loess Plateau Agriculture,and Longnan mountain valley agriculture by using the data of the mountains,rivers and water conservancy in the chorography of Ming and Qing dynasties.Through the analysis of regional development characteristics of dry farming in Ming and Qing Dynasties,discusses the important role of agricultural development and disaster environment in Gansu.The forth chapter against the adverse effects of natural disasters on crops in Gansu during the Ming and Qing Dynasties,analyzes specific disaster response mechanism of using crop planting structure and the promotion of agricultural technique to promote the development of dry farming in Gansu.In the conclusion part,based on law of natural disasters and the characteristics of water conservancy and irrigation,dry farming development in Gansu Province,it discusses the internal relationship between agricultural production and disaster environment,and give out an objective assessment on the disaster environment and its control effect in Gansu Province in Ming and Qing Dynasties. |
