The border area of Fujian,Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Anhui provinces is the center of the southeast hills.Until the 16th and 7th century,it was one of the areas with the best original ecological environment in China, and rich in forest resources.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the commodity economy of Jiangnan and southeast coastal areas developed rapidly, and the border area between Fujian,Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Anhui provinces became the main forest resource supply area.Based on this background, this paper analyzes the development and change of forest resources and their relationship with people in the process of development and utilization,in order to provide a basis for further research on the utilization of forest resources in different regions of China in the historical period. The rich and diverse forest resources provided various choices for the use of forest resources in the border area of Fujian,Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, which made the use of local forest resources more diversified. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, the utilization of local forest resources showed a trend of spatial expansion and radiation, and expanded in the form of industry,in which market demand played an important role. The level of technical requirements affected the quality of forest resources utilization, and the agglomeration effect of products and the expansion effect of varieties were also constantly optimizing the quality of forest resources in the region. In addition, the structure of regional forest resources was in constant change, and various forms of utilization affected and restricted each other, which was the result of the external market demand.People played different roles in the utilization of forest resources in this area, which was based on the differences of groups and strata. The government showed two sides of power in the protection and utilization of forest resources. The individual villagers and organizations paid more attention to their own survival and local living environment. The floating population, driven by the commodity economy, pays more attention to the pursuit of interests.Different positions were interrelated and interwoven, which contributed to the complex situation of local forest resources utilization. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, the impact of large-scale utilization of forest resources on the border areas of Fujian,Zhejiang,Jiangxi and Anhui was reflected in landscape change, economic diversification and social climate change. The local landscape changed from the original natural evolution of the original mountain forest to the man-made rural mountain forest, which was the external manifestation of the change of the internal structure of the forest resources. The development of local handicraft industry, commerce and the rise of commodity towns made the economy present diversified development, but its economic model relying on the external market has obvious dependence and instability. In addition, the flow of population in the process of forest resources development put forward new requirements for the stability of local social order, and the change of economic environment also imperceptibly changed the local social atmosphere.
