The Atmosphere Resonates With The Body

Under the background of the prevalence of consumerism,the excessive pursuit of human beings on the material level leads to the imbalance between the spiritual level and the material level.This phenomenon is also directly experienced in the space design.The designers with rational thinking in the dominant direction of design begin to ignore the perception of the body in the space in the design process.The lack of thinking about body subjectivity leads to the indifference of the final display results of space.Therefore,based on the theoretical basis of Herman Schmitz's new phenomenology,this paper proposes the concepts of "body" and "atmosphere" to explore the guidance of architectural space design on the physical participation and the spiritual level of human subject.This paper mainly focuses on the body and emotional subject of Schmitz's new phenomenological thought,which leads to the role of the subject in the architectural space,and makes relevant experimental exploration from this point of view.Inspired by the living state of human beings,this paper proposes "escaped prisoner" as the subject,and designs an experimental space with physical presence combined with the understanding of Schmitz's new phenomenology.
